I have really red skin on my face i cleanse and tone my skin every night anyone any idea what it could be?

I have a condition known as Rosecea. There is a prescription cream or gel for it known as Metrocream or Metrogel ( the .75% strength is best). It causes general redness, sometimes acne-like pustules.

Red face and neck could also indicate certain types of heart condition. PLEASE see a doctor.I have really red skin on my face i cleanse and tone my skin every night anyone any idea what it could be?
Too much product . Just use a facial wash and water, pat it dry then a light simple moisturiser.

I have never cleansed and toned. I have even skin colour, no spots (never had) and very few lines on my face. I am 38.

You are over-doing it with the products. Go natural for a while and see what occurs.

Hope it settles down for you.I have really red skin on my face i cleanse and tone my skin every night anyone any idea what it could be?
It could be a mild case of rosacea, if there are tiny little spidery veins but without the other symptoms, a dr told me easy enough to laser but $250 a treatment. Here is a link on yahoo health for rosacea see if it fits your skin type:

http://health.yahoo.com/ency/healthwise/鈥?/a>
I belive you might have Rosaca see your dermotoligist they'll give you some cream, until then try the new lotion from Aveeno Natural Radiance or something like that.
you're one of the pinko-grey races? how about not sitting in the sun?
are you part red indian
Unfortunate as it is, you can over-cleanse and tone. Or it could just be that you've changed products recently. Some brands are a bit harsh. Remember your skin is an organ and as such will react to everything you ingest, and any stress you might be under. I was detoxing at one stage and the products I was using suddenly made my face flare up when I had been fine with them for months til then! I would firmly recommend going and getting an aloe vera plant if you can find one and using the juice from the leaves directly on the red skin. It's really soothing. Otherwise, Clarins do a fantastic Beauty serum - it's expensive but a godsend and really clears up everything from rashes to raw skin to spots.
well you might have rosacea, which is a condition that makes the skin appear red cause the blood vessels dilate...overcleansing or doing too much mite be why it is red, also eating spicy food, getting upset over something, etc. take it easy when cleansing and for your makeup, use a green or yellow based type..you can find these in any store selling makeup...
It sounds like Rosacea.See your doctor. It is treatable.
maybe you have roseacia? you can get help, its not serious just how some people are, see your g.p and put your mind at rest!
Lipstick?
they are called blemishes, i get them all the time, maybe you should try using something that is designed to tackle these, like clean and clear, loreal, garnier, have good products, but dont use them along with your toner, and keep moisturising to a minimum, coz moisturing could initiate this sort of prob, if these dont work, try seeing your gp, they might be able to help, good luck!
ur cleanser %26amp; toner cud b 2 harsh - ur cleanser shud leave ur skin clean %26amp; soft wiv no irritation, %26amp; if u use the right cleanser u dont need a toner!try changing ur cleanser
It could be rosachea, in which case cleansing and toning won't help. You need to go see a dermatologist who will most likely prescribe you a cream made of corticosteroids.
Maybe rosacea. dont tone with an alcohol based toner since it will dry your skin more and inflame the rosacea. see a doc if it doesnt get better.
You could have sensitive skin. Or it has had too much sun.

Read On:

Don't overdo cosmeceuticals. With more and more beauty potions containing alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), salicylic acids, antioxidants, and retinoids, mixing a cleanser from one line with a scrub or daytime moisturiser from another, then a night cream from yet another, can lead to over-exfoliation and irritation. This can add up to a real problem, especially for women with olive and darker complexions, who are more prone to discolouration when their skin is irritated. To play it really safe, stick with one line of products which are formulated to work together. If you use any prescription products, ask your dermatologist/doctor to advise you on how to combine prescription treatments with over-the-counter cosmeceutical products.

Be careful with your products and I suggest you try the 'Simple' range. This brand contains no perfume, colour or other harmful agents to irritate your face further.
eczema, hot flushes, natural pigmentation.
rosacea
Don't use a toner as it sounds like your skin is sensitive, and toner generally contains alcohol. Use dove soap if you're not prone to spots and lightly pat a very light, fragrance-free moisturiser into your skin using your fingertips. If you're still unsure as to what to do, ask your pharmacist.

However, if you have

REALLY red skin with small bumps/spots, it could be rosacea. Cut down on spicy foods and try to limit the amount of drastic temperature changes. If this seems to affect it, try your doctor for medication
sounds like rosasia. you need to see a dermatogist it will only get worse. the sun will make it the worst. stay out of the sun!
You should go to a store like Wal-Mart or target or other stores and get cool beads. Cool beads cool your face down. You rub it on the red spot and then a few minutes later it should heal because it goes into your skin. You have to apply it more then once each day. Try doing it in the morning and at night
This could also be a slight case of acne rosacea in which case a RX of most acne medications would help you out.

I'd have to agree with the over doing it. Alot of times people get frusterated at their skin so the try to work it harder. You skin isn't made of steel therefore you don't need to scrub it with chemicals like you are trying to de-greese and engine. If anything a light moisterizer would help with some of the irritation.

But hey, oily skin means you won't age. He seriously looks 20.
I'm not sure about recipes, but a quick and easy way that i get rid of oil on my face is to put baby powder on it. it dries the skin out a bit, and if you're fair-skinned, i doubt it will even look like you have anything on.

Is there a Herbalist that can help me? Is there a 100% organic/natural way to cleanse my skin without soap?

Is there a 100% organic/natural way to cleanse my skin without the use of ';soap';?

I have very dry skin and I'm prone to extreme breakouts with eczema. I'm about to purchase a shower and bath filter so that I can have the purest water possible for bathing but I now want to omit the use of ';soap'; which dries my skin also. I only use Organic vegetable soap but even those dry my skin. My question is:

Is there a natural and I do mean ';natural';- no chemicals, emlusifiers, parabens, etc. whatsoever or ';Organic'; product or home remedy that I can use everyday over my entire body to cleanse my skin. I don't care about lathering. I just need something 100% truely natural that does no contain soap.

Is there a recipe for such a thing that I can use for myself? I heard of using powered herbs, cereals and nuts and mixing with water to make a paster, but what herbs, cereals and nuts does one use for dry skin should I use? Have you tried Dr Bronner's soap? It's called soap but there's actually a lot of oils in it (hemp, olive, coconut, and essential oils). It's also organic and has been around for years and is very gentle. Also, some good info about psoriasis here--

I have perfect skin. and, no wrinkles. I only use water on my face. sometimes I will put a mask on for deep cleaning. Your best bet is to eat the right foods. flax seeds are wonderful for your complexion. Eczema is a situation where the skin is actually weeping. Eczema is caused by stomach/digestion problems, do you have diverticulitis, Or any medical condition? best to get to the root of the problem, and then your skin will not have eczema.
for your skin avoid all ointments and creams. apply gingelly oil thrice a week and wait for one hour.then get greengram powder mixed with milk applied through out body a small layer .leave for few minutes and then remove by rubbing clean if u wiil continue for one month your problem will be solved
You might want to try honey (I use it daily as a facial cleanser) and look into the oil cleansing method as well. Take a look at the Uncle Harry's website below. They have some very natural products that you might be interested in, and if nothing else you might get an idea of some ingredients that you could use together. A great place to get bulk ingredients for homemade beauty products is also linked below (Mountain Rose Herbs) The books Herbal Healing for Women and Herbs for Natural beauty are great resources with many recipes (also linked below).

    Hi there,

Skin lighteners or skin bleaching agents often help. These products work best if you gently exfoliate the area you wish to lighten before applying a lightening lotion. Look for products with Hydroquinone, which lightens dark spots for more even looking skin tone.

SKIN LIGHTENERS (less than 2% Hydroquinone)

I would recommend Reviva Lab's Skin Lightener Body Lotion because it uses Hydroquinone as its base ingredient. This product contains a low amount of Hydroquinone, so it is gentler.

SKIN BLEACHING AGENTS (2% or more hydroquinone)

If you want your skin to get a lot lighter, try using 2% Hydroquinone. This product is specifically designed to lighten underarm discoloration:

    http://www.magicclear.com/skin_bleach_body_lotion_skin_whitening.html

I would NOT encourage you to use either products on your genitals because it could easily lead to irritation. It's normal for women to have darker skin on their vagina area than on the rest of their body. I'm sure your husband will love you just the way you are. You don't need to be embarrassed!

GOOD LUCK!!!! I HOPE YOUR WEDDING IS FABULOUS!!!!Hw to cleanse the dark skin of ur body?
lemon juice, milk and rose water mix. will fix the problem
My skin color is dark tan (like chocolate). Its probably because your skin isn't fair. Those dark colors you're talking about are called pigments. They are permanent. But if you want you can buy whitening cremes for them. Idk about putting whitening cremes in you're vaginal area tho.

Can you answer my question plz???

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
You can try applying lemon juice to your elbows, knees or underarms to lighten the skin. But leave your vaginal area alone
Dun do anything in the vaginal area, it will harm you, as the skin there is very sensitive n will be seen only by your husband.

Even i have dark skin, n have the same problems as you are facing. i cleanse my face n hands with Lakme cleansing milk (this is working for me). or you can also cleanse your skin with raw milk (milk that is not boiled) My skin colour in the neck area is getting little lighter coming to tone with my face colour.
The best lightener (for face, elbows, knees and armpit) that my wife used is papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too.

Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'

What is the purpose of using a toner after you cleanse your skin??? please reply a.s.ap. thanks!?

This is a weird question to put in Chemistry, I'm sure there's a beauty section in yahoo, but anyway.

A cleanser opens your pores and removes the dirt. A toner closes the pores. Otherwise, if your pores aren't closed, the dirt can deposit on them easily. :)
  • sunburns
  • Everyone says you have to cleanse tone and moisturize. But this makes my skin greasy help?

I try cleansing toning and mosturizing bt the toner makes my skin greasyEveryone says you have to cleanse tone and moisturize. But this makes my skin greasy help?
the products you are using probably are not for your skin type. Is your skin dry, normal or oily usually? Whatever type your skin is go to your nearest store like boots or superdrug and ask them for cleansers and moisturisors that will suit your skin type. Try the counters like No.7 and Lancome because the people working there will be specifically trained about skin types and what products suit different skin typesEveryone says you have to cleanse tone and moisturize. But this makes my skin greasy help?
The job of a toner is to actually strip the face of oil (%26amp; tighten pores) which then gets replenished by the moisturizer. So I doubt it is the toner which is making your skin greasy, it is most likely your moisturizer.

So perhaps look into what skin care you're using %26amp; the skin type it is for. You may be using a product that is designed for dry/sensitive skin, which will of course, have extra oils in the product to rehydrate skin.

You probably have a normal/oily skin so you need skin care products that are designed to target these problems.
probably the product u use doesnt suit with your skin.

Make sure you know your skin 1st

for example oily/belmish, normal, dry, T zone oily.

oily / blemish skin try Tea tree range

Normal skin try Vitamin E range

    Dry skin, try Jojoba range

T zone oily skin, try Seaweed range

Its the best way i can suggest you.
It depends on which toner you are using. If you use a good facial cleanser that tones at the same time you don't need to tone on top of washing. It sounds like you are over processing your skin and it is compensation for all the drying agents you are putting on it. Back off and keep your skin care regime at a minimum, but choose good products!

Try Solutions plus Total Radiance Thermal Cleanser. OMG! This stuff rocks. It heats up opening up your pores so you get a deep clean, exfoliates smoothing and polishing and toning skin!!!! All you need. Follow up with a good day time lotion with SPF and at night a hydrating cream.

    Weird skin reaction from cleanse?

I am not sure what caused this skin problem i am about to explain, but i think it is because i am on a cleanse and maybe it is some detoxification is coming out through my skin, but i have all these little pimple like bumps on my forehead and down my neck and on chest, they are not actual pimples because they do not have pus in them, instead they have a little drop of water... weird. They are not red or anything, i can just feel them and see them catch the light.

how do i get rid of them?Weird skin reaction from cleanse?
I can't be totally sure but I have a feeling this may be an allergic reaction. Stop using whatever product you have been using immediately, it will take about 4-5 days for it to clear up on its own.

I believe cetaphil cleanser is irritating my skin. Are there any simliar face washes which hydrate & cleanse?

i just started cetaphil and my skin feels itchy. do u think this is due to a face cleanser change or is it definilty due to cetaphil.. and are there any other cleansers that hydrate while cleanse if i must switch from cetaphil???I believe cetaphil cleanser is irritating my skin. Are there any simliar face washes which hydrate %26amp; cleanse?
I like the clearasil skin perfecting wash. It cleases the dirt and oil and contains moisturizers. it could be the cetaphil. try switching to another cleanser, and see if your itchiness stops or lightens up. If it does then it is probably the cetaphil. if not that it could just be the sudden change. if so, then you should work a little bit of your new facial cleanser into your washing routine one day at a time.I believe cetaphil cleanser is irritating my skin. Are there any simliar face washes which hydrate %26amp; cleanse?
Is it possible your skin is really dry? I notice if I wash my face too often or wear a lot of make-up (I did this weekend for my musical performances), I find my skin dries out and gets itchy.

Try putting on some moisturizer each day, and see if it helps. Cetaphil is what i use too for my face, and it's never bothered me.
I find that spectro jel works just as well but is more gentle. :) And they make a version specifically for sensitive skin. I love this product! Also you should make sure that you use a facial moisturizer - one that is uncented with natural ingredients if your skin is that sensitive. I recomend aveeno with spf
    try aveeno foaming face wash,

its gentle on your skin, and its a foam so it lathers good.

    and its for sensitive skin.

Is it possible to cleanse ur skin 2 much??

I use a cleansing milk 2 remove make up and impurities etc and a 2 in 1 cleanser and toner afterwards b4 moisturising or sometimes i use a cleansing wipe b4 using the 2 in 1 but not sure if this is ok 4 my skin or am i cleansing my face 2 much?Is it possible to cleanse ur skin 2 much??
Yes. Overcleaning can irritate the skin %26amp; dry it out.Is it possible to cleanse ur skin 2 much??
Too much, you'll just dry out your skin!!!
It's possible to cleanse too much- it strips away the lipid layer of your skin. If this system works for you, good. If your skin peels, you may want to cut back a little- Cetaphil makes good non-stripping cleansers.
i dont know. but dont do it like 10 times a day cuz it will take away all the natural oils and make ur skin dry and maybe even super oily. but it sounds like wut ur doin is fine so dont worry
it's best to use a makeup remover and then cleanse. u can't cleanse the skin if ur just smearing the makeup around. be sure ur not cleansing this way a.m. and p.m. that would defintely be overkill.
if its starting to peel or dry up then prolly yeh...

    also MOISTURISE TONS after cleaning..

scrubs shud be used only twice a week

and use moisturising wipes and stuff

    :)
IT doesnt sound like too much. Why do you use the cleansing milk if your going to use a 2 in 1 right after anwyay?? ive heard of ppl washing a lot more than that. Just jduge by your skinm if it starts getting dry, red, or irritated, you might be washing ti too much. if you not having problmes with it then you are probably ok.
Yes it is possible. You can damage your skin and cause dryness and irritation. It removes all the minerals and vitamins that your skin needs to be healthy and soft. Over cleansing your skin can also increase your acne if you have any. Your skin can get super red and feel like its burning. I know this from experience.
Washing your face this much will make your skin actually produce more oils to replace those that you are washing off. You are going to get caught in a vicious cycle! I think you should wash your face in the morning and at night only. Maybe you should go to a licensed esthetician to have them evaluate your skin and suggest appropriate products. I use Bioelements and have the found they have a variety of great products for all types of skin. -good luck!
Too much cleansing can dry out your skin and prevents the essential natural oils from being produced. You just need 1 good cleaser and a toner followed by a moisturiser. Do this twice a day and your skin will be great. For extra and deeper cleasning try a face mask or scrub used only once or twice a week. For best results you also need to choose the products that suit your skin type. Contact me for more advice on products that suit different skin types / ages etc
dont wash your face more than twice a day unless you need to wash it a third, say, for example, if you got mud on your face or something. i dont know why you would, but obviously in that case you should wash it too. a cleansing wipe counts as washing your face, and a 2 in 1 cleanser and toner is bound to dry your skin out a lot too. choose one cleanser to use once in the morning and once at night, then a toner if you want to use after that, then a moisturizer. keep it a routine and use the same stuff. get makeup remover if you need to.
yea you can clean your face to much, it will take away all your natural body oils and your skin will get red ichy and it will hurt, also it will take away your natural glow, so hold up with the cleansing and only do it like 2 a day.
yes, it is possible that you can clean your face so much that your skin might start to peel off. also using too many products can hurt your face. you need to limit yourself to one product per day.
don't fiddle with your skin too much, it'll aggravate %26amp; irritate it. Too much of anything is bad.
Your're overdoing it. A cleanser followed by a 2-in-1 is too much and you will strip your skin of its moisture balance and its oil mantle (maybe). Try Aloette's Gentle Foaming Cleanser (a milk-based cleanser) and the toner ... you choose the one that best suits your skin type. Then get the moisturizer that suits your skin type. You'll love it! It's anti-aging and anti-acne.

P.S. Your post is hard to read with all the numbers illogically replacing words. Just a gentle FYI.
i heard it is possible. it can dry out your skin
it is possible and it might make your pimples, blackheads, or scars worse so about twice a day. clean your face once in the morning after you wake up and at night before you go to bed.
    MICHAEL JACKSON?
if your face starts breaking out or getting too dry..you are overstimulating/cleaning your skin.
i think it will just dry out your face
twice a day is good for almost all skin type.

over washing will make your face dried or even peel.

try to moisturize your face well if this process of cleansing is good for you.

you may cut down on days.maybe three times a week.
It is possible to cleanse too much. Your skin naturally produces oils and if you are cleansing constantly your wiping away the natural oils and your skin could start to overproduce causing greasy skin.
It seems to me that you are doing to much but each to there own... the reason why i say your doing to much is because every time you do that you are removing oils on you face and you face just produces even more oils as before which clogs you pores even more .... you should only cleanse you face once in the morning and once before you go to bed ...and for acne prone skin 3 times Dayle is OK.
Umm i dont think you can be too clean so there is no such thing as cleansing your skin to much lmfao
the more you clean it, the more you take out the oils. Also, all the tugging increases wrinkles. A makeup remover followed by cleansing and moisturizing is fine. A toner (alcohol) is drying. Try not to use it daily - twice a week is fine.
Yes, you'll remove the oils that protect your skin.
Read in some women's magazine a letter from a Dermatologist. He said it wasn't necessary to cleanse, nor moisturise, as the skin will do both naturally. I sometimes think that with all the cleansers, moisturisers, anti-wrinkle creams, exfoliates, etc etc, that I've tried, all they've done is age my skin. Something I find that helps my skin is a good olive oil, whether it be by ingesting it or putting it directly on my skin.

Is it safe to use a facial buffer to cleanse the face everyday? Will this over exfoliate the skin?

The other two answers are right, using a facial buffer or scrub every day will overexfoliate the skin, and this can leave your skin looking red and raw, and feeling tight or itchy. It's not necessary to use a scrub every day, even on other parts of your body, every other day (at most) is good enough to slough off the dead skin. But for daily use, a gentle skin cleanser is sufficient. Also be sure to use a good moisturizer after you do clean up, it'll just keep you skin feeling smooth and looking better. Is it safe to use a facial buffer to cleanse the face everyday? Will this over exfoliate the skin?
I suggest exfoliating your skin atleast 2 maybe 3 times a week just like the person above said. It's probably better to not do it everyday so that your skin could breathe a little and get some oil in it so it won't dry from ';over exfoliating'; possibly. However, for an everyday cleansing, you should go to your local store or walmart to really look into some good skin care products to keep your skin fresh daily. I tend to use the clearasil facial pads which has these dots on the pads to help ';lightly exfoliate'; the skin which I use twice a day as well as it supposed to prevent clogged pores which produces acne. I use that everyday and then add the facial buffer cleansing twice a week.Is it safe to use a facial buffer to cleanse the face everyday? Will this over exfoliate the skin?
No it's not very safe because it will over exfoliate your skin. Instead of taking off dead skin like exfoliating should, it will start taking off healthy skin. You should try to exfoliate only 2-3 times a week for really healthy skin.

Yes, it Cleanses your poresDo you gong to the spa will cleanse improve your skin???
    Hi,

You'd need something that cleans your skin pores on a daily basis. You can start with the Spa facials, but you have to keep up with that too. To me the cost effective way would be a skin care system that would really take care of it everyday.

You should use a skin care system that will suit your skin type and your age, and then use Artistry Pore Cleansing Masque - twice a week to see visible results. See the website to read about the products.

    Hope this helps,

Definately. My wife uses Amway India products and very happy with it.
my experience with going to the spa was wonderful when it came to mud baths and mineral hot tubs, stuff like that. as for facials i have mixed feelings about. yes they will cleanse your pores but there are two side effects to this. one you will leave with red pouty skin (if the facialist manually removes impurities) and then second your pores are so clean that they are more suppceptable to being clogged again. so i would ask your facialist what to do to keep up your skin after you leave because everyones skin is different and needs different things. but be careful they will try to sell you their products which can be a bit pricey.

Help i used wipes that cleanse tone moisturise and i feel skin is very dry is this normal?

should i add some moisturiser on topHelp i used wipes that cleanse tone moisturise and i feel skin is very dry is this normal?
Sounds like you have dry skin. You should buy skin products that are made for dry skin. The cleansers will strip away the natural oil produced by the skin depending on how strong it is. So the ones made for dry skin will be more gentle.

After you cleanse with the products use a good moisturizer as this will definitely help =)

i need a qick, HOMEMADE mask or cream or something tht will cleanse skin and make it clean, fresh, and not oily. i need serious, fast answers plz. AND I DONT WANT TO BUY ANYTHING, SO IT HAS TO BE HOMEMADE!!!!!thanx.A homemade mask tht cleanses skin?
    Egg whites with lemon juice:

Take one egg white and beat it, putting a teaspoon of lemon juice in it. Then, spread it over your face (but avoid the areas around your eyes, as the egg whites really tighten your skin!) and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then, take it off, and wash your face. This shrinks pores and makes your skin feel smoother.

I have acne, and sensative skin, what is the best thing to cleanse my face with? or Clean it with?

I have acne, and have tried Proactive, but my skin is just wayy too sensative for it, it turned Dry, Red, and Itchy, does anyone have any idea for a GOOD working product that will clean my face without drying it out or clogging my pores??I have acne, and sensative skin, what is the best thing to cleanse my face with? or Clean it with?
Best over the counter medication is Cetaphil. It's a very gentle cleanser that is not alcohol based and it works. I had very bad acne when I was younger, and this is only thing I could use while on Accutane because that medication makes your skin so sensative. The link to their website is posted below. You can buy it at any Wal-Mart or pharmacy. But if you really want to get rid of it; go to a dermatologist that will give you something to treat the problem all together.I have acne, and sensative skin, what is the best thing to cleanse my face with? or Clean it with?
if nothing off the counter works go to a dermatologist.

everytime someone says doctor they get turned away bcuz they dont want to put in the time and money.

everyone's looking for the easy way out but the truth is most home remedies and over the counter products dont do much .

if you REALLY want perfect skin u HAVE TO GO TO THE DERM !
Dove soap. Otherwise, try visiting a dermatologist. :]

well I don't have acne, but I use the Clarisil pads each night to prevent pimples and stuff. It works great. Stings like hell at first, but then you get used to it after prolonged use.

Otherwise, there is the dead sea mud you can buy at places that specialize in dead sea minerals. It's about $60 for a little bottle, but it last for a long time! I used it on my fiance's face and by morning, his whole face had cleared up. It works really well, just a little spendy. It's also just mud, so it's pretty natural and shouldn't make your sensitive skin flare up.
ok.i have sensitive skin. The BEST product to use is sorbeline cream-any brand of it will do- because nto onyl is it cheap, btu you can also buy it is 2 litre bottles, but anyway, lol

when my skin went a bit funny (rashy and sensitive) cleanses with sorbeline( misted a blob with water, massages on face, rinsed off) adn then used it as a moisturizer.

it seriously works. sounds dodgy and cheap, but really, IT WORKS!! hope htis helped! (and this definately WONT dry your skin)
I use St.Ives, and have been for the past months..its really good.
take a cotton ball add alcohol and wipe your face with it, this works very well to clean your skin. (it will even remove any left over bits of makeup as well - i used to act in school) feel free to wipe behind your ears and the back of your neck.

afterwards, splash water on your face and let it air dry or lay down with a damp cloth on your face and let the skin take in as much water as it wants.
    tonight make an egg mask

put a thin layer of the white all over the problem area

once it dries just enough which should be 5 mins or less

take it off with a wash cloth or towel and warm water

then apply the yolk and let sit for another 5 min

    that should help out

tomorrow go to the drug store and buy a acne wash/scrub called OXY and a weightless mosturizer(oil free) by neutrogena. wash every night with the scrub aand apply moisturizer before you go to bed.

the most important thing is not to pick your pimples and stay stress free after all everythings ok..right

make sure you eat foods with antioxidants and change your pillowcase every other day

this is what I do try it for a week and it should help you out

if you have redness after using this, apply visine product for your eyes on the pimple or red area and the resness will go away

    good luck =)
This stuff will totally change your life,

its called Glytone for Acne, the lady at the spa recommended it to me for my blemishes and acne scars and it worked soooo well! (i have fair sensitive skin also)alll my scars and red blotches are gone.

its sold in mostly in spas everywhere (just call around and ask if they carry it)

heres the link if you'd like to read about it

    You use Clearasil Ultra.
i use clean %26amp; clear under control.

proactive i hear is pretty good but it doesnt work on some people for some reason.

it didnt realy help mine to much. infact my 7 dollar bottle of clean and clear from shoppers works better than the 80 dollar proactive.

    try one of those out.
I know you said you have already tried Proactive. But for me I had to give it a chance to work. It literally took about a month for me to start noticing the change. I only use the facewash and the clear pore stuff because the lotion used to make my face dry, itchy and red also. I would suggest trying it again. I tried it 2 times before I realized I just needed to stick with it or else I wasnt going to see any results. But I'm really really really glad I gave it another chance!
A dermatologist told me to use Purpose Soap and Purpose Moisturizer. Both can be found at your local Target or Walmart. Here is a link to the website:

I would try St.Ives invigorating products, I use their apricot scrub for my super sensitive face and it really works.

  • Liz earle cleanse and polish for combination skin?

i have very combination skin (extremely oily nose and forehead and very dry chin and cheeks) and its very hard for me to find a cleanser that works for both. ive heard good things about cheanse and polish but would it be any good for the oily areas of my skin?Liz earle cleanse and polish for combination skin?
I've not heard of that skin-care line but, there is an awesome product line called WARM SPIRIT that I would highly recommend.

Caring for Combination Skin requires a dual approach to skincare because it has both oily and dry patches. Oily areas will usually be found in the T-zone area (across the forehead and down the nose and chin), with flakiness and dryness in the other areas. However, some combination skin does not follow this pattern.

If you were looking for a cleanse and polish you would need to make sure that it's a gentle exfoliation. You don't want anything abrasive, that would strip your skin of its natural moisture.

The Products from Warm Spirit that I would recommend would be the Beauty Glow, a unique face polisher and foaming cleanser. It contains papaya enzymes, pomegranate, pumpkin seed oil, and healing shea butter. This Warm Spirit exclusive product is a blend of vitamins E and A, aloe vera, sweet almond oil, and extra fine pumice will gently exfoliate your skin and leave it feeling fresh and at its best.

What is also a great skin-care regimen for normal and combination skin would be the Botanical Cleanser and the Botanical Toner. The cleanser and toner gently eliminates impurities, moisturizes without stripping the skin dry!

How should i cleanse my skin cuz im switching my acne treatment....?

i have been using the clean and clear acne control kit but it dries out my skin alot and its not working anymore

and i am about to buy skin ID.

what is a natural way to cleanse my skin of the the clean and clear stuff so that my face is clear of all the gross stuff when i get my skin ID kit.

thank you for your help! How should i cleanse my skin cuz im switching my acne treatment....?
    Water and soap.

Those are very basic and shouldn't have any effect on your skin.

But...I think you shouldn't just switch...take some time before you use another one because your face could be use to the other one and may have a terrible reaction on your skin.

So I think it's fine to use water and soap for like a week and then start using Skin ID.

Good Luck. How should i cleanse my skin cuz im switching my acne treatment....?
Try making an exfoliate out of your favorite non-moisturizing soap and a handful of sugar. Just combine the two until you get a nice, thick cleanser and then gently scrub your face, neck and upper back. When you get out of the shower lightly blot your face to remove excess water and apply Aveno Complexion Clearing moisturizer, just one pump is more than enough to cover your face, arms, chest and neck. At first it might seem as if the moisturizer isn't working and actually making your skin worse but just give it some time to work it's magic...
theres really no way to ';prep'; your skin for a new acne cleanser. natuarlly, your going to break out once switching to any cleanser because your face has to get used to it and its also taking out all the toxins. ive used the skin ID and trust me, it does not work. ive tried tons of acne cleansers and the only one which was actually VERY effective was ';splash away cream cleanser'; by estee lauder and the ';daywear plus moisturizer'; by estee lauder. i know what your thinking.. estee lauder is for older women. its not!! im only 21 and it is hands down the best you can get. most cleansers take about a week to start working.. this one took only a couple of washes. its great. but dont forget to always wash your face with a facial sponge. especially if you have oily skin.
me too! i have used clean and clear before but it makes my skin extremely dry. neutrogena works amazingly for me. try the PINK GRAPEFRUIT face scrub, it works really well. my friend said the skin id was the best she ever tried and i personally like THE WAVE. i use it twice a day, it clears up my face, and it smells good too! :]

    hope that helps!!
There shouldn't be any 'gross' stuff left behind, just switch to the new kit and you'll be fine.

In all reality though, all those kits are pretty much the same (i.e. they all have the same active ingredients).
I have found some good tips in following link, It may be good for you too

    http://www.beautifulhamesha.com/Acne.php
Use Cetaphil- it's a gentle cleanser that should leave your skin clean and soft.
you try acne wash EGO...see if it works..
NOTE鈥 HAVE WRITTEN THIS LONG ANSWER TO RESPOND TO QUESTIONS RELATING TO BECAUSE THEY COME UP SO OFTEN:

    OILY SKIN

    ACNE

    FACIAL LIGHTENING

    DEALING WITH ACNE SCARRING

    DEALING WITH STRETCH MARKS

    IMPROVING SKIN TONE

    PIMPLES

    BLACKHEADS

    EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT

    INGROWING HAIRS

    BODY ACNE

鈥HE INFO鈥橲 BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE. I鈥橫 36 NOW SO I鈥橵E HAD TO DEAL WITH THESE ISSUES FOR QUITE A WHILE AND THOUGH MUCH OF THIS ANSWER MAY BE IRRELEVANT, I HOPE THERE'LL BE SOMETHING THAT CAN HELP YOU!

    GOOD LUCK!!!

RECOMMENDED SKIN CARE鈥 use clean and clear cream wash (good for sensitive skin or those that dry to easy) or Neutrogena clear skin make up remover wash. Both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too. This is the most important thing you can do. I鈥檝e tried various 鈥榦il free鈥?鈥檚alicylic acid鈥?moisturisers but the best I鈥檝e found is the clean and clear on鈥 found the Neutrogena one actually seemed to aggravate my skin.

EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT!...The toothpaste things works! Put on a blob at night and put a bit of tissue over it so it doesn't make a mess. It cools the area down and reduces the inflammation. I also recommend the clean and clear advantage spot treatment gel.

HORMONAL SPOTS鈥ny female with spots I'd recommend trying dianette or yasmine contraceptive pills because if it's hormonal that can sort everything out within weeks鈥hough it can take a couple of months to get used to the pill.

FACIAL ACNE: AVOID鈥on't use harsh scrubs and peroxide products daily like some people do; that can dry your skin and make produce MORE oil...just exacerbating the problem. Many face packs I鈥檝e tried and those blackhead removal strips too seem to have caused problems.

I鈥檝e also had problems with those 鈥榝acial wipes鈥?made by clean and clear and Neutrogena because they鈥檙e too drying and when the top layer鈥檚 too dry, the oil gets stuck underneath and causes more problems!

Some say chocolate doesn鈥檛 affect it鈥t does for me and I don鈥檛 know how or why that should be but certain foods do seem to affect break out. Coffee is one of those things that seems to aggravate my skin too. So look out for anything you eat that might be making it worse.

HAIR PRODUCTS鈥e careful what products you use in your hair if it's long - certain conditioners have causes me to break out at times. Also be careful of hair gels, hair sprays and serums.

INGROWING HAIRS鈥or men or women鈥f you have oily skin, these are more likely. For men鈥se a facial scrub and avoid moisturisers that don鈥檛 have salicylic acid in them if you use a moisturiser. Some hair conditioners are much better lubricants than shaving cream too 鈥?so you might want to try that, and then was afterwards with a clean and clear was etc. Also I recommend the microdermabrasion kit mentioned later.

For women鈥axing seems to cause the main problem 鈥?we pay most attention to our faces. Waxing seems to be the main culprit as opposed to shaving or hair removal creams鈥o avoid in-growing hairs, make sure to exfoliate. I recommend using those exfoliating gloves 鈥?that way, you can use any kind of shower gel.

NUTRITION鈥 recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex 鈥?those little spots you get around your mouth can be due to a vitamin b deficiency for example. Also I recommend Omega 369 oils every day because they improve blood flow.

OLD WIVES TALE??...It's an 'old wives tale' type remedy - but a spoonful of cider vinegar and honey in hot water 3 times a day is meant to help EVERYTHING. It tastes nice too...kinda like honey and lemon X

HYDRATION鈥?Keep your hydration right by drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeine and alcohol and too much salt!

DEALING WITH SCARRING鈥here鈥檚 an excellent micro-dermabrasion scrub called 鈥榬e-finish鈥? by L'oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out. It comes with it's own moisturiser which I don't use but I use the scrub at night a couple of times a week and put bio oil on which it supposed to help clear scarring and even skin tone.

If you get your skin relatively under control, try using '21 days Fade Cream' (which I get from eBay) because it quickly clears up any scarring. It鈥檚 a skin lightening cream and is very effective as long as your skin type agrees with it. Bio oil is a good alternative!

Also, to detract from the colour variations in your skin tone, I recommend using Benefit鈥檚 Posie Tint or Benetint lipstain 鈥?this can be put on your cheeks and lips (which also makes your teeth look whiter as an added bonus). Lipstain is better than lipstick because it doesn鈥檛 smudge and it stays on; you can put lip balm or lip gloss on over it. Also, if you use it (SPARINGLY) on your cheeks, it is just like putting water on there; it doesn鈥檛 aggravate the skin or cause breakouts.

Do you cleanse your skin morning and night?

what is your skin routine at night and in the morning. im trying to get my skin in better shape because im starting to get a mild case of acne.

thanksDo you cleanse your skin morning and night?
i wash my face with cleanser and warm water in the morning, then splash some cold on to close my pores. then i moisturize and do my make up.

at night, i wash my face with facewash, then use toner with cotton balls until all my make up is off, and the cotton balls get cleaner and cleaner.

twice a day is good enough, otherwise you could cause more oil to produce if you wash alot, and dry out your skin.Do you cleanse your skin morning and night?
Wash minimum 3 times with lukewarm water. It will help to reduce your acne problem. Use Sandalwood paste to get permanent relief with acne and pimple. For more details you can visit the source site.

Skin irritation during the master cleanse?

i recently did the master cleanse (10 day fast) and after the third day my upper lip and around my mouth turned red and tight (dry), think bozo the clown (pink around the mouth) . it's gotten better (7 days later) but still a little pink and tight only on the upper lip. i've done the cleanse before and this didn't happen... some other factors are i was in a house without a/c in the texas hillcountry (95 degrees inside) and sweating a lot, rubbing my upper lip often.... i don't know what else it could be, maybe i had lime or salt residue on my fingers and it irritated, but i'd think it'd be gone by now.

the fast consisted of drinking fresh squeezed lime juice with 2 tbs of maple syrup and a dash of cayenne pepper with 8oz of water, 6 times a day.

has anyone experienced something like this on the master cleanse, or any other cleanse?Skin irritation during the master cleanse?
rubbing your upper lip probably irritated, but perhaps you were dehydrated - you need to drink A LOT of water on the Master Cleanse. Also, after you handle the lemon and cayenne, wash you hands - those could easily irritate the skin.

The other thing is it could just be part of your body's response to the cleanse - the cleanse causes your body to purge toxins and some times that can show up in breakouts and rashes.Skin irritation during the master cleanse?
They say it's the ';fasting crisis'; where toxins are eliminated from your system. Everyone reacts differently.
    I haven't, but try cortisone, it'll help.

What is cleansing, toning, moisturising. in how many days we should do this as my skin become dull and without?

glow.what is the procedure.i am 24 years oldWhat is cleansing, toning, moisturising. in how many days we should do this as my skin become dull and without?
I think your talking about a skincare regimen.

You should cleanse twice a day, once minimum. This is to remove surface oil and impurities that build on your skin. Exfoliating is really important too as that get's rid of the excess build up of skin. Twice a week for normal to oily skin, once a week for dry skin.

Toning (as in using a toner) is to tighten the pores after opening them with a cleanser. This step isn't exactly necessary unless you tend to have oily skin. It's important to use one that's not irritating or over drying as this will make your skin produce more oil and debris.

There's even a fourth step, but third down the line if your using a toner, second if not. Serum's. These can be really helpful if you have certain issues with your skin. Their made in wide range of functions for your skin. These are worn under you moisturizer.

Moisturizing. Extremely important. After cleansing skin, you have to put the moisture back in after it's been stripped out. One with an SPF of 15 is a must. UVA rays (the ones that tan you) damage the collagin and elastin in your skin causing wrinkles and saggyness. Also causes hyperpigmentation (sun-damage, age spots) There are many types of moisturizers out there. Anti-aging, mattifying, ones for dry skin and oily. That kind of thing.

If you need help determining the best route of skincare treatment, see an esthetician (someone who performs facials) for a customized skincare regiment.

I hope this clears up your question! What is cleansing, toning, moisturising. in how many days we should do this as my skin become dull and without?
    hi

CTM(cleanser+toner+moisturiser) is a very effective combination for skin care.

Cleanser-cleans youe skin by removing dirt and extra dead cells

i have these product from us based companies called ARTISTRY/ATTITUDE .they are very effective and guaranted for usage.f you don't like them you can get full money back in 30days with usage less than 30%.if you are interested mail me at muditpisces@yahoo.com or call me at 09880960522.
Skincare. It needs to be done twice daily. Determine your skin type-oily, dry or a little of both or sensitive. Find products that work well with your type. Cleansing milk opens the pores on the skin andhelps removing dirt while toner closes the pores again coz if the pores are left open it may cause pimples.

First take cleansing milk on a damp cotton.Spread it well across your face.Yu will notice that the cotton turns dark.

Then in another cotton take some toner and apply on face.Since toner is an astringent you may feel a burning sensation. But not to worry on that.

Now apply a good moisturiser that suits your skin.

Apply under eye gel in case of dark circles and lip gel and go to sleep.

Within very few days you will notice significant change and a glowing skin.
Depends upon the chemistry of your skin.
use gycolic skin tonner by NEWLOOK. it may take 2 months
cleansing is to clean ur face ,removing all minute dirt and to open pores.toning is to close thosepores nmoisturizing is to keep ur skin moist n shiny.by doing this regularly

How do i moisterize and cleanse skin???

my skin isn't too bad, but it can get a bit blotchy and i do pick at my blackheads and spots, although i don'T have a lot of them. i do have a lot of flakey dry skin though. how do i manage to skin and make it look good? do i need to do foundation? make-up? how do i look more polished? How do i moisterize and cleanse skin???
OK WELL, YOUR SKIN SOUNDS DRY/ DEHYDRATED. THIS MEANS THAT YOUR SKIN NEEDS WATER. USE A FACE SCRUB AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE DRY AREAS. USING A GOOD RICH MOISTURIZER, AND USE A NIGHT CREAM. DRINKING WATER WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TOO. ALSO STEAMING UR FACE OVER A BOWL OF HOT WATER WILL HYDRATE IT ALSO. IF YOU DO USE A FACE MASK AND SCRUB AND STEAM YOUR FACE TWICE A WEEK YOU WILL START TO SEE A MORE POLISHED EVEN COMPLEXION. HOPE I HELPED. GOOD LUCK. ; )How do i moisterize and cleanse skin???
You should start with the basics before you attempt to cover your skin up! It sounds like you've got dry skin (the dryness you mentioned) and maybe some sensitive skin as well because of the blotchiness. DON'T pick at your blemishes, though I know it can be tempting cuz you just want them gone!

I have pretty rough skin too, and blotchiness (rosacea, actually) and the only line I've been able to use is Arbonne. I use a good wash and mositurizer in the Arbonne Intelligence line that tone the redness. Then I use a mineral powder that evens out my skin tone. All these products are healthy and safe for your skin, too. I actually have a website, so check it out. It's www.natural-skincare-solutions.com and it kinda outlines why natural skin care is the way to go, especially for someone with bad skin!

Take care and good luck! Sara
I don't know how old you are Zoe but you have to stabilise your skin first. Use a gentle toner and cleanser to get rid of the blackheads. And only then use a light moisturiser with an oil free or combination skin foundation and you will GLOW!. Do it stages and don't rush and if you have setbacks(with your skin) that's life and your body. You must work at it,it's a never ending chore to look ';natural'; But you won't regret it as you grow older.

I am currently 14 years old and not so sure what cleansing product is best for me to use. I've used many different products, but i've realized they haven't been the right one for me,or at least i don't think that they are. I have dry and oily skin and i was wondering what brand and products is the best for me to use having this type of skin. I am so confused and not really sure what to do :S I know it depends on how your skin reacts..but i'm not really so good at all this stuff! If anyone knows then help would be very much appreciated!!!! =)What Cleansing Product Is The Best To Use For Teenagers With Dry Skin?

Noxzema, the original formula is great. I have been using it since I was about 13 and I am 47. You can also get the one with the srubbing beads in it to use once a week for the oily spots. I think you will like it. Good luck!

It is true that clean skin cleanses the entire body?

The skin is the largest organ of the body and it often is considered as the third kidney. Toxins are put in the skin when the body is not sure how to deal with them.It is true that clean skin cleanses the entire body?
Well you have to start from the inside so really clean body clean skin.It is true that clean skin cleanses the entire body?
No. Not true. No basis in truth or facts or science.
im not sure this question makes any sense. but i do know if you clean your skin you should do your whole body.
I am not real sure but it is good hygene.
no. and you arent covered in friggin toxins lol.

just take a shower once in awhile and youll be fine
Yes, it is. Ever notice that when you eat garlic the odor seems to emanate from your skin, not just your breath ? It's important to use skin products that are plant derived to keep skin in optimum health, and drink 8 to 10 glasses of pure water every day.
That's why we should sweat everyday and take a cold/hot bath after.
What do you mean by your body?
    No.

But it is true that scrubbing your skin activates other organs to get working harder. So in a sense it is true. Just remember it is the scrubbing (or hot/cold) not the soap that is working that magic.
The skin can also be TOO clean. You need the billions of micro-organisms covering your body for your protection!

What is deep pore cleansing milk? Its uses? Is it beneficial for oily skin? How is it different from toner?

This product gets right down into your pores and cleans out any gunk that could build up and cause blemishes.Good for any type of skin, but more so for oily skin.Use it, rinse well, dry skin, then use toner. Toner builds up your skin resiliency. To be honest, good old mild soap and water would likely work as well or better. What is deep pore cleansing milk? Its uses? Is it beneficial for oily skin? How is it different from toner?
deep pore cleansing milk is suitable for normal to dry skin. if u have oily skin then use a toner or astringent. also use a face wash instead of soap on ur face. What is deep pore cleansing milk? Its uses? Is it beneficial for oily skin? How is it different from toner?
A milk cleanser is more for sensitive skin. Oily skin is better with a gel cleanser. Be sure to use toner and a moisturizer to suit your skin type.
Cleansing milk helps you clean the dirts which does not get clean using a face wash or a soap, it is also very soft on the skin, it is like cleaning your face with the help of a mixture which is not harsh on the face, it really helps. Yes, it is beneficail for oily as well as for every skin type, as its primary job is to clean the face. Whereas a Toner helps to tone up your skin, however, I would suggest you to use an astrigent ifyour skin is oily, toner is a kind of nourishment to your skin. I use Astrigent because my skin is oily as well. You can try try Lakme product which is a combination of cleasner and toner. It is not too costly.Get in touch if you have any further queries at sudhir_singh822002@yahoo.co.in, Bye
Cleansing milks are usually for normal to dry skin. For oily skin it tends to be better to use a gel or foaming cleanser. Usually a toner is used to balance the pH of your skin.

xBest Cleansing Routine - And What Should I Use On Sensitive Skin?
The perfect solution for your face is Clean and Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent for Sensitive Skin. This stuff is amazing but takes about 2 weeks to work- like all acne medications. Trust me its sooo worth buying and is also pretty inexpensive! Go to http://www.cleanandclear.com/ for more help. :)Best Cleansing Routine - And What Should I Use On Sensitive Skin?
Shop bought creams, lotions exfoliaters cleanseres all contain harmfull chemicals even products fro sensitive skin, I had to find this out the hard way,

I wash my face once a day, max twice a day with just warm water then use aloe vera gel as a moisturiser. Once a week I will wash my face with lemon water, lemon works as an exfoliant, also evey sunday I will apply oats mixed with milk to a cream paste to my face leave to dry for 10mins then rinse off, this also works a an exfoliator,

Both Lemon and milk contain a natural acid that breaks down the the oily glue like substance that keeps dead skin stuck to your face, which keeps dirt trapped leading to spots

No need for shop bought stuff, only thing you need to buy really is lemons and aloe vera gel, I use pure aleo vera from the plant, I have a few plants in my house, just break of a leaf and smooth the gel over your face, leaves it smooth no grease and will help get rid of spot scars
When I was your age my mom would always tell me to wash my face with alcohol. it always worked for me. i still use it.
    Hey hunni!x

Well theres this special skin care line called Avene which was specially made for young people with sensitive and acne prone skin. I use the facial wash even though my skin is not sensitive because its less harsh and contains less chemicals, plus its PH 7 so it wont irritate your skin. It also regulates sebum production which is the reason why the acne is reduced, plus it also contains this water that soothes irritated skin.

If you live in the UK then you can buy it from boots, but if you live in the US then i dont know..maybe you can get it in your local pharmacy :)

    The facial wash: http://www.boots.com/en/Eau-Thermal-Aven鈥?/a>

It costs 8拢 for the bottle but it lasts forever! Ive had my one for over 4months and its only half way full! You only need a pea size amount of the liquid for your whole face, and it removes all traces of makeup! I dont even need to use a wipe to remove the makeup before washing my face.

    Hope i helped x
you should totally use this stuff..... first clean and clear makeup dissolving facial cleansing wipes then use clean and clear morning burst facial cleanser next clean and clear oil free morning glow moisturizer. they all work so perfectly
I had the same problem, until I tried this routine!

Make a DIY face mask. It's a peel off mask that you can buy in stores, but the cost will add up and this exactly the same and cheaper.

All you need is: Plain Gelatine and Juice fruit from a fresh fruit.

    - Sprinkle a tablespoon of plain gelatine into a half cup of juice.

    - Heat in microwave until the gelatine has completely dispursed into the juice.

    - Leave in fridge for 20 - 30 mins or until firm.

Dry skin - Apple, lemon, rasberry, papaya, peach, pear juices (add water or another juice if using lemon!)

Oily skin - lemon, orange, grapefruit and lime also adding carrot juice will help! (add water or another juice if using lemon!)

Only make enough for one use as the leftovers have to be discarded.

Use this once a week, until skin clears then use once every fortnight.

Also, to wash your face daily use an exfoliating wash and witch hazel foam at the same time (buy two products) and this will give your skin a boost.

I noticed using them at the same time worked better than using them seperate.

    Hope this helps
Try using the simple range of cleansers and toners they work really well and are cheap. Also go to your doctor and they may be able to perscribe some cream for your spots depending on how bad they otherwise go to the chemist they will be able to advise you on what creams could help clear up your spots

  • Would the olay hydrate and cleanse be ok for sensitive skin?

ye sthis is what my brother uses!! He has like super sensitive skin and most things broke him out but he really likes Olay products.Would the olay hydrate and cleanse be ok for sensitive skin?
yes.Would the olay hydrate and cleanse be ok for sensitive skin?
    what

I cant get regular facials, so how do I deep cleanse my skin?

If I want to give myself a mini-facial at home, I usually do the following:

    -Boil some water.

    -Remove makeup.

-Wash with Purpose cleansing bar and facial scrub brush (you can get one at sally's for less than $2)

-Once water is boiling, pour it into a smaller bowl. Then lean over bowl and cover head with a towel to steam my face for a few minutes. Some people add oils to the water to give it a nice aromatherapy feeling.

-When the water has cooled a bit, I usually dip a washcloth in the water and apply it to my face wherever there's a pimple that needs to pop. That'll help bring it to a head, and instead of squeezing it, the hot water will bring the pus out.

    -Rinse with cold water.

-Apply moisturizer and leave my face alone!!I cant get regular facials, so how do I deep cleanse my skin?
Washing your face with an oil free cleanser in the morning and evening should be enough. Exfoliating regularly will help as well (not necessarily a scrub). I use a 10% glycolic acid on my skin at night, which keeps the dead skin from layering up, clogging pores in the process. I cant get regular facials, so how do I deep cleanse my skin?
wash your face 2-3 times daily with simple skin cleansers like clean and clear and neutrogena.

Can cleansing and exfoilating ur face ruin ur skin?

i am a 23yr old male and i have been exfoliating and cleansing my skin for the past 2 yrs now and yes it did help because my acne scars are almost all gone and my acne is totally gone but my face just doesnt look so smooth and nice like u see other guys...i mean my skin color on my face just doesnt look as a clear or has that nice complexion of the skin on my hands i was thinkin maybe i should stop cleansing and exfoilating cause it shedded too much of my skin already can that be the case? only the parts on my face i shave look nice and smooth but the others on my face just dont look good enough? what do u guys suggest? i want my skin to be the look like that almost clean new born skin that people have out there so let me know....Can cleansing and exfoilating ur face ruin ur skin?
perfect skin is hard to get. I know - been pursuing it for years.

it's hard to give advice without seeing you in person and knowing more about your skin care history and regimen. in general it's not good to exfoliate more than once a week, twice max. facial skin (esp around the eyes) is delicate, so be kind and gentle to it. if it hurts or is irritated, you need to change what you're doing. it's possible to do damage to your skin that will only show up as you age.

so I recommend seeing a dermatologist.

PS drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, moisturize (with a good moisturizer that doesn't have lots of fragrance and chemicals and won't clog your pores), and wear sunscreen! Can cleansing and exfoilating ur face ruin ur skin?
sure u need to stop , i believe all of that stuff is chemicals, and u r skin cant really handle all this ..if u think about it exfoliating is more like scratching the skin ..so wut do u think will happen if u kept scratching ur skin for two years...just stop it totally...try using all the baby products its nice and gentle to ur skin...try cucumber, lemon baby lotion from johnson %26amp; johnson....it makes ur skin smooth and smells so nice and fresh....
    You are too precious. :)

No our skin was created to rebuild itself.

Your genes have something to do with it. look at your dad's face. Just keep up the good work. It is impressive that a guy doesn't these facial things.

Here's a question: Are you moisturizing after exfoliating? That's probably the missing part of your routine. That'll make your skin softer, softer looking and balanced.
maybe u should only exfoliate once in a fortnight now. keep cleansing but use a oil free moisturiser.
to really clean skin you would have to sand blast it as skin looks like the moon all craggy and rough,if you think you are doing the cleaning to much do it three times a week and get a little sun also you might try hot and cold water and a pore refinement product and don't forget to eat well this will be reflected in your skin as you are what you eat let me know if this helped and yes to much of anything is well to much tally ho my good man

I have started to cleanse, tone and moisturize my skin but I keep getting spots now? Why is this?

Any ideas???I have started to cleanse, tone and moisturize my skin but I keep getting spots now? Why is this?
Your skin maybe sensitive to the products ur using. Or your pores could be big/small so the product gets locked into ur pores and causes u spots and blackheads.

You could also be using too much product which also blocks the pores.

I would cut down on the amount you use, if no better, then change product.I have started to cleanse, tone and moisturize my skin but I keep getting spots now? Why is this?
your skin may be sensitive to the products..or the products contain lots of oils that would then block your pores thus causing the spots. also, you should let your skin rest and absorb the product inbetween. not allowing time for the cleanser to soak in to your pores would then get worse as your load up your pores with toner and then an oily moisturiser and then make-up (if you use make up). i allow ten minutes inbetween each, long i know, but you can pluck your eyebrows or get dressed during the gaps. good luck
You need to make sure that the products you are using are for your skin type. I have dry skin and if I don't use products for dry skin I get spots. You don't just get them if you have greasy skin like many people believe. Best to go to a department store or salon and ask someone on a beauty counter what type of products they would recommend for your skin. You won't be made to buy from them!
it sounds like you are sensitive to the products you are using, i used to be ok with anything, but now i cant have any products with perfume in them, so i go for the unperfumed moisturisers etc.
same here, its, unless ur like 20 or something ur growing up,its the horemones, sadly there isnt much u can do,keep cleansing, try spot creams like freederm, eat healthy

and cover up with concealer and founations

    hope this helps

How do you completely deep cleanse your skin?

like what are the steps? do u use a hot cloth?? any good procedures??

what are your thoughts on mud masks??? r they good for your skin??How do you completely deep cleanse your skin?
MUD mask! Only a pound, and amazing. Seriously I use one every week or before I go on a night out!

Your skin feels so tingly and clean afterwoods and doesn't get greasy for ages. I love them!

    :)

xHow do you completely deep cleanse your skin?
your face can only get so clean. There's a whole world of products marketed to you that say otherwise but they are lying. Wash with hot water and soap. I recommend an oil-based soap, especially Dr. Bronner's soap. It's the best, available at many health and camping stores.
quarter fill a large mixing bowl or salad bowl with boiling hot water put your face over it - not in it! - and cover your head with a towel to keep in the steam. it'll open all your pores and allow them to be cleaned out.

    cue beautiful skin! :)
You have to wash your face really good, make sure it's with really warm water and then you can do a steam facial with and then a facial mask after that I your face will be so clean and soft. It's amazing. =]
I use johnsons clean and clear. I can really feel it working, your skin feels so clean and soft afterwards, and they have one for sensitive skin too.

the same thing happened to me after using some acne creams, i think its just beacuse of chemical burns becuase you applied too much of it in certain areas. for me, i just stopped using the cream for a few days and used facial lotion generously in the painful area. it should go away really soon. and next time just try to not put as much acne solution on that area of your face =]

Not long ago I started taking raw garlic and have noticed a HUGE improvement to my skin. You have to eat it raw and you have to crunch it up (get a special garlic crusher) AND its bloody hot hot hot and nasty tasting. But if you eat it fast with some tea or something else with milk (I find this works best) you can get it down easily. Dont do it with orange juice!

I could rave about raw garlic, but look it up for yourself and particularly observe the cautions about eating it carefully and the benefits you get from it.

My wife had a cough for a month and then took raw garlic. Next morning she was much much better.

Does Clearasil Deep Cleanse Skin Clearing Wash Work?

Hi, i went to a doctor and she said that i have a very very very mild cause of acne... So she's perscribed something for me and alongside that i brought The Clearasil...

Have you ever tried this, how long did you take it and HAS it worked for you? I could really do with some help- thanks : )Does Clearasil Deep Cleanse Skin Clearing Wash Work?
i've used clearsil products b4 but it's reli harsh on my skin most probably because i have sensitive skin. if in doubt don't use it because it might make it worse!Does Clearasil Deep Cleanse Skin Clearing Wash Work?
Nope..it just gave me red spots on my face. none of the over the counter stuff works. If I just wash my face with regular soap twice to three times a day and don't touch my face...then i try not to use any medication cleansers.

    Good Luck
    yes

i have tried it and if you do what the instruction say your skin willbe very clear
clearasil is rubbish, believe me I've tried loads of treatments. I used to have very bad acne and the only thing that worked is called Quinoderm. Its available at the chemist and is not pricey. You dont need to use much (even though I did, because I wanted the spots to go instantly).

    Good luck.
Ihave mild acne but none of the over the counter stuff works. NONE!
my 15 year old son tried it and it didn't work one bit,so i wouldn't bother.
Hey there not for me nither i use freederm gel and face wash as i have the same problem as you but worse i have severe acne and this treatment works i used it for three days and did you know it took about 30 spots off my face and my face is almost clear it is an affective treatment that is advanced to work right in to the pores and give you clearer skin in just three days try it i promise it will work! x x x x xx
Not for me, I use garnier face wash

Can baking soda be used to cleanse the skin everyday?

I' ve been making a paste using water, honey and baking soda and have been using it everyday in the shower for the past one week... So far there has been no adverse effects... my skin has in fact become more soft and smooth... but i am not sure about using it in the long run... I prefer making my own bath products... Hence, if baking soda is too harsh to be used in the long run, can someone pls suggest an alternative...Can baking soda be used to cleanse the skin everyday?
Baking soda is the equivalent of using a scrub or a mask. You should use it every other day, and use a cleanser designed for your face every day. Keep in mind, since you're useing all-natural products on your face, only make enough ahead of time to last a week at the most. Can baking soda be used to cleanse the skin everyday?
it's no more abrasive to the skin as some of the o.t.c. soaps. all that detergent is drying to the skin and takes away natural oils and moisturizers in the skin.

as long as it gets rid of the dirt you are on the right path.

    good for you!
    its abrasive ..don't use it

    use dove or ivory soap

    -Dove

    -Natio

-Cetaphil - really good, it's gentle but not too gentle to not do anything, and it's not that badly priced

    -Anew

it means to get rid of all the toxins, dead skin, dirt and oil that may be on your skin. using a cleanser refresh's your skin and lets your pores become unclogged and breath. there are many good cleaners but make sure to get one that suits your skin type
to rejuvinate your skin by exfoliating or using body scrub..

The product I use for my skin is fairly expensive but definitely works well. I noticed a good improvement when I started using it - so that isn't the problem. Over the last month of so my skin has a lot of whiteheads, blackheads and just looking unclear. Whitehead/Blackhead exfoliating creams and cleansers don't work and also are drying, so I will not use those.

I drink plenty of water and get a bit of exercise into my day.

What kind of cleanser is it? Hydrating for dry skin or Normal, or for Oily skin? It could be that you're not using the correct one (unless of course a professional recommended it, then I could be wrong). My suggestion is to get a facial every month. A european facial to be exact; what it entails is the following: cleansing, exfoliation, and extractions (of white heads and black heads and pimples) they then follow with a mask and light massage. It usually runs about 60-75 dollars, but it's well worth it. I'm actually going for one tomorrow. The more you follow through the cleaner your pores will be.I cleanse with a gentle cleanser and moisturiser, eat fairly healthy but still have spots and unclear skin?
Biore' Deep Cleansing Pore Strips work really well for getting out blackheads and whiteheads on your nose, especially. It's not very drying either.
Its just part of your growing up.You could use a steam pack on your face,or hot towels,Then use something like Witch-hazel which is an astringent. But you'll lose the problem as you grow.

Does bubble bath cleanse the skin?

does bubble bath actually cleanse your skin? Or is it just bubbles. Whats the actually cleansing agent in regular soaps and are they contained in bubble baths or some bubble baths or what.Does bubble bath cleanse the skin?
No it doesn't. Bath's in general don't clean your skin because you are simply sitting in your own filth.

I hav oily skin, and pimples. how do i get rid of them. ive tried cleansing..but it doesnt work.?

Tell your doc that you would like to try a prescription cream called cleocin Topical gel. I used it a few years ago and it cleared my skin completly up. In my case using soap on my face broke me out worse so I always just used water (and yes I use soap on the rest of me) No over the counter meds ever worked on me either. Your regular family doc can prescribe this for you and going to a fam doc is generally cheaper than seeing a dermatologist. Hope this helps also its an old wives tell about watching what you eat when it comes to acne. This has been proven medically. Different foods have nothing to do with you being more prone to it.I hav oily skin, and pimples. how do i get rid of them. ive tried cleansing..but it doesnt work.?
    try nuetragena products Report Abuse

Use a solution with 2% salacylic acid and apply with a pad or cotton ball. It will sting a bit. Keep away from the eyes. This should be used after washing with a soap that will open the pores. You should always wash before using this solution and try it up to 2 times a day. You will need to continue using it, but should see results within a week or two.

I have done body cleanses and find them to not be that great, basically you have to poop a lot, like 3x a day if not more. You lose maybe a couple pounds but that is only because your body is flushing everything you eat out so fast, so you actually are not losing anything and it all comes back when you are done. Your skin will not be great during because you are excreting all your toxins so breakouts will surface and your sweat will be a little more smelly, but 1/2 way through it stops and you are good again. Honestly i don't think it is worth it and i wouldn't do it again.

Is daily exfoliating and deep cleansing good for the skin?

Depends on your skin type really. If it's sensitive/dry you should do it about once a week, if it's oily/combination you can get away with doing it daily. There are some very good exfoliating cleansers that you can use every day unless you notice your skin gets irritated. Read the label of the product you are using basically, if it says it can be used daily you can give it a try and see if it works for you, if we are talking about aluminium exfoliators, etc. definitely not.Is daily exfoliating and deep cleansing good for the skin?
u don't need to exfoliate daily.once a week is enough.if u go to the parlour for a deep cleansing treatment , then do it every 15 days. u just need to use a soap free face wash everyday and a face pack twice a week.Is daily exfoliating and deep cleansing good for the skin?

hw about using it.?? or if u can suggest any other cleansers??I have n oily skin. is it necessary to use toner after cleansing? am using dove cleansers ,,?
Oily skin care needs the same skin routine as all skin types, they are: cleanse, tone and moisturize. Additionally, occasional peels and masks can work wonders to absorb excess oil and freshen the skin.

Toners are mean to restore ph balance, remove any excess cleanser and close pores. Keep your toner in the fridge so when you use it, the coolness will close the pores.

Also the more drying things you use on your face the more you face will produce oil - a natural reaction.

Here is a recipes for oily skin

    Cucumber Mask for Oily Skin

    1 tsp mint

Puree everything together and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm, then cool water. Follow with toner and an oil-free moisturizer.I have n oily skin. is it necessary to use toner after cleansing? am using dove cleansers ,,?
Avoid harsh cleansers and alkaline cleansers 鈥?they may change the pH of your skin leading to rebound oiliness.

Apply the mixture of honey and milk on the face. This will make your skin glow.

Thin apple slices rubbed onto oily skin will help in controlling oily shine.

Treatments like salicylic peels which are oil control skin peels when taken once a month regularly can go a long way in maintaining the skin that you desire.

Also, it鈥檚 a good idea to know your skin. You can get a free skin analysis done at Kaya skin clinics across the country
Get a cleanser with 2 percent salicylic acid, which will help get rid of a little excess oil, and also dissolve dirt in your pores. Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser works great.

You can continue to use the toner if you have had good results with that, or you might want to try a serum. A serum is like a lightweight lotion, but it isn't AS moisturizing, so you won't be as oily.

If you do try a serum or a lightweight lotion, make sure it contains salicylic acid or glycolic acid, which both help get rid of oil.

Another facial cleanser/moisturizer is Mary Kay Velocity. It also soaks up excess oil without the salicylic acid, but it is only sold online.
In general, no. Toner is meant to bring your skin to a normal pH, but unless you're very oily, skin will normalize itself. If you do decide to use a toner. I recommend T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel All Natural Astringent for Face %26amp; Body. If you acne, minor cuts, minor scrapes, insect bites and blemishes. It will help you. Dermatologist recommended, 100% natural, contains no artificial fragrances or dyes and cleans deep down to your pores. Hope this helps! : )
Toners are great for oily skin! And bad for dry skin as they will dry the skin out. For cleansers, best to have foamy cleanser which are great for oily skin rather than cream cleansers which are moisturizing for dry skin. Foamy cleansers dry your skin out which is great for oily skin. And don't forget to moisturize! moisturize! moisturize! Hope this helps!

Yes, I would recommend you to use toners. Oily skin tends to accumulate more dirt than normal skin. Toners are designed to cleanse deep-seated dirt so pimples, whiteheads and blackheads will be prevented.
Yes you can use toners but you dont have to.
