I use clearasil ultra cream wash, and after I'm finished using it my skin is soft and dry, but after an hour, it becomes oily. Why is this so, and how can I prevent it?After cleansing my skin, why does it get oily after?
The cleanser is cleaning out your pores and cleaning the oil from your skin. Two things are happening... your skin is working to replace the oil that was lost, and since your pores have been cleared, the oil can flow freely instead of being trapped.
I would try a moisturizing face wash that is listed as non-comodogenic, or maybe a light moisturizer after cleansing your skin (again, make sure it says non-comodogenic). If all else fails, use oil-blotting face cloths and be happy that your pores are clean. :-)After cleansing my skin, why does it get oily after?
Are you using a mostiurizer. If not you should start using an oil free one. When your skin is stripped of all its oils it starts over producing them. Using a moisturizer tells the skin that it is already moisturized and dosen't need to supply so much oil. If you have oily skin to start out with go for a gel or light lotion type that is oil free nothing heavy.
If you are using a moisturizer it may be the wrong type for your skin. Follow the same guidelines as above.
Either way your skin will almost always have some oil on it try translucent powders or blotting papers to help get rid of the extra oil that does get produced. Hope this help.
because your skin is constantly producing oils
it could also be because its too strong for your face.
i have used dozens and found that Ponds is the only one that doesn't dry out my face and make it oily afterwards.
and it was also the best product for making my skin CLEAR! i don't have acne but it made my blemishes vanish and skin sooo soft and clear.
i was amazed and never tried anything else afterwards!
yeah its most likely because after you use it your skin is so stripped of oils your skin sense that and produces more oils. Your cleanser is probably for oilyer skin types you should probably use one for sensitive skin. If just changing cleansers doesnt work I would get a moisterizer to use afterward. Aveeno products are work very well. hope this helps :)
